50 People Show Up to Support the CC3 |

On Friday 50 people came to the vegan buffet and fundraiser at The Root Cellar in Ontario to show their support for the CC3 and the Wegmans Cruelty Campaign. The food, prepared by The Root Cellar staff, was amazing.
Compassionate Consumers owes a debt of gratitude to all the employees at The Root Cellar, who worked for days to prepare for the fundraiser and who made the entire event possible. They really did an amazing job.
Compassionate Consumers wishes to also thank everyone who came to the dinner, as well as Abundance Cooperative Market, which donated a gift certificate for the raffle, and Leena Isac, who donated a basket of her fantastic vegan brownies.
Just down State Route 104 from The Root Cellar 750,000 hens remain crammed in filthy wire cages at Wegmans Egg Farm. All the people who turned out Friday evening showed that this animal cruelty cannot continue.
