The Jeffersonian Covers Baltimore-area Wegmans Cruelty Campaign |

 The Jeffersonian of Baltimore County, Maryland recently carried a long piece on the strong continuing efforts of the Baltimore Animal Rights Coalition (BARC). BARC has been involved in the Wegmans Cruelty Campaign since early October when Wegmans opened its newest store in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
BARC is one of many groups currently working to inform consumers about the suffering endured by hens at Wegmans Egg Farm and to urge the company to go cage-free. The group has been holding regular demonstrations for three months and plans on expanding its efforts in coming weeks and months to coordinate with other animal advocacy groups based near various Wegmans store locations.
